Severn Trent

Transforming a Temporary Event into Ongoing Communication Content

Some internal communications require more than a meeting room.

Severn Trent delivered a large-scale leadership conference, transforming a reservoir car park into a fully functioning event campus for managers across the organisation.

The event was designed and delivered by White Event Production, with White Video capturing the experience and transforming it into a highlight film — ensuring the impact of the conference extended beyond the three-day experience.

The Brief.

Severn Trent required a way to maximise the value of a major leadership conference delivered in a highly unconventional setting.

As part of a fully produced event environment delivered by White Event Production, the conference brought together over 350 delegates per day, combining leadership messaging, presentations and engagement across a purpose-built campus.

While the live experience was key, the messaging needed to extend beyond those in attendance and continue to support internal communication across the wider organisation.

The objective was to capture both the scale of the event and the key messages delivered, creating content that could be used beyond the event itself.

Our Approach.

With White Event Production responsible for the full event delivery, the video production was planned as part of a wider communication strategy.

Rather than simply documenting the event, the focus was on capturing content that could be shaped into a clear and engaging communication piece.

We identified key leadership moments, audience interaction and environmental visuals that would translate effectively into a highlight film — ensuring the final content reflected both the messaging and the scale of the experience.

Production.

Filming took place across the three-day leadership conference, capturing activity throughout the custom-built event campus.

Working within a live environment delivered by White Event Production, the scale and pace of the event required a flexible filming approach, allowing key moments to be captured across multiple areas without disrupting the experience.

Coverage included leadership presentations, delegate interaction and wide environmental shots that showcased the transformation of the space.

In post-production, the footage was shaped into a concise highlight video, combining key messaging with visual moments from across the event.

The Result.

The final highlight film allowed Severn Trent to extend the impact of the leadership conference beyond those in attendance.

By combining a fully produced live environment with considered video capture, the project transformed a temporary event into a lasting communication asset.

The result is a strong example of how video production, when integrated into wider event delivery, can reinforce messaging and maintain engagement across an organisation long after the event has finished.
